Waste Pump Instructions
1. Assemble and install the elbows and nipple into the lower
waste tank fitting as necessary for the particular
application. You may not need to use all of the fittings if
the installation varies (see picture 1). Use thread
sealant or Teflon tape on all fittings.
2. Install the brass check valve with the arrow directed
towards the pump and away from the waste tank.
Tighten the 1 1/2 barb with the 1 1/4 MPT into the check
valve.
3. Apply thread sealant or Teflon tape to the threads of the
float switch and screw it into the upper fitting of the
waste tank. Pay particular attention when starting the
threads as to avoid cross threading the switch. Note the
arrow on the side of the float switch housing and tighten
so the arrow is pointing vertically upward
(see picture 2).
4. Determine the desired location for the pump and cut
hose to proper length. Install the hose to the check valve
and pump and secure the hose clamps. Then mount
pump securely using 4 screws and washers.
5. Tighten the 2 remaining 1 1/2 barb with 1 MPT into the
shutoff valve. Determine the desired location for the
shutoff valve and cut the hose to the proper length
(see picture 3). Install the hose and secure with hose
clamps.
6. To secure the shutoff valve, first install the PVC clamps
over the shutoff valve but do not lock into place. Mark
the location of the mounting holes then remove the
clamps from the shutoff valve. Mount the clamps to the
marked holes using the screws. Put the valve back into
the clamps and lock into position.
7. Mount the toggle switch into the panel and connect one
terminal to the battery post of the engine using the fuse
holder.
Waste Pump Instructions
8. Connect the white wire from the 16-2 cable to
the other terminal of the toggle switch, and
connect the black wire to engine ground.
9. Run the 16-2 cable along the frame to the
pump. Connect the Black wire from the 16-2
cable to the black wire on the pump. Connect
the white wire from the 16-2 cable to the
white wire on the float switch then connect the
black wire from the float switch to the red
wire on the pump (see picture 4).
10. To operate the pump, first connect one end of
a vacuum hose to the barb on the shut off v
alve. Run the other end of the vacuum hose to
an approved disposal site. USE ONLY 1 1/2 OR
LARGER HOSE.
11. Open the shutoff valve then turn on the pump
switch.
CAUTION: DO NOT TURN ON THE PUMP
SWITCH WITH OUT FIRST OPENING THE
SHUT OFF VALVE BECAUSE PUMP DAMAGE
MAY OCCUR.
The pump will operate automatically as the
waste tank fills.
12. When finished with the job, turn the pump out
switch off then close the shut off valve.
Can be installed on the following truckmounts with just a few changes:
